Obama and change
I've found myself thinking that Obama would be good at rethinking what he was doing if it wasn't working, but when I checked I found that I didn't have any actual evidence one way or the other.

Anyone have examples of Obama making sensible changes based on evidence in what he was doing? I'm not sure that switching to campaigning against McCain is an example-- that one's a judgement call more than finding that what one was doing isn't working out.

Does realizing you've screwed up and quickly apologizing count?

It's good, but I'm more interested in something that involves him changing his mind about an important decision or belief.

1. Realizing that patriotism was an issue, he's taken to wearing That Damn Flag Pin after all.

2. Realizing that he wasn't reaching "working whites" he introduced Jonathan Edwards in Dearborn.
