Self-taught sheep-herding rabbit
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/02/03/sheep-herding-bunny_n_1252145.htmlI strongly recommend muting the sound. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/02/03/sheep-herding-bunny_n_1252145.htmlThis article has the most detail I've seen. Also, I was amused by the reply to the comment from MosesDidItBest. This entry was posted at http://nancylebov.dreamwidth.org/1014819.html. Comments are welcome here or there. comments so far on that entry.

| | That is really quite remarkable! Amusing and impressive. What an unusual, clever rabbit! Also probably the most aerobically fit rabbit in the world. I think he must be a border collie under a spell. Some comments said he wasn't herding them, but I definitely saw a moment when a sheep was about to go one way and the rabbit faced it and headed it off.
This reminds me of one *Dog Whisperer* in which Cesar determined that the alpha in the home was not the woman, not the dog, but a small cockatoo. When the woman had the bird on her shoulder, the dog no longer tried to shove her off the couch. And you could tell the dog and bird were really regarding each other & interacting in that way.
At first I liked the music--I can get into olde-timey music--until I realized the rabbit pie wasn't made for rabbits. Seriously. (I expect old-time music to be a bit silly.)
Also, I didn't realize how much sheep look like shorter llamas.
I couldn't find that comment. What did it say?
The music made me want to see the rabbit herding a farmer who was carrying a gun.
Here are the comments I was referring to:

Exactly what I thought a GOP and Tea Party convention must be like.
All of them happily munching on Koch carrots.

I challenged a friend to find a story on HuffPo that didn't have a politically charged comment on the first page. "Sheep-Herding Swedish Bunny." You just won me $20. |
