Adagio cantabile with a rock tempo feel|
Theoretically unplayable.... (music starts at 3:50)
This is only called a death waltz. Actually a difficult piece (anyone know what it is?) with large chunky chords and glissados best played by someone with big spidery hands.
I've seen a plausible claim that the piano piece is actually U.N. Owen Was Her?, but I don't like this enough to listen to it carefully.
More about John Stump, and more of his scores.
Facebook discussion. "Release the penguins" seems to be the favorite joke.
First two links thanks to Mongoose. The rest were scavenged from the facebook discussion.

We have paper copies of this floating around the house. I like "like a dirigible" and "add bicycle."
I've never heard any attempts to play it! I'll listen to the clips next.

I liked the piano solo best. The ensemble piece sounds like a PDQ BACH rip-off crossed with the stuff they used to play once in a while on classical stations before Philip Glass.

Lovely! I was familiar with the sheet music, of course, but had never expected to hear it performed.
