Spartacus protest at g+

siderea came up with the idea of "I am Spartacus" as a protest about the no pseudonym requirement at g+, didn't get traction, and then found other people were doing it.

Here's a manifesto.

I'm not Spartacus because I don't care all that much about g+, but I do favor permitting pseudonyms. Forbidding them doesn't prevent malice, but it does shut out people who have any number of reasons for wanting privacy.

Aside from the other reasons people mention for not quite liking google, it just sticks in my craw that they want everyone else's information to be more public, but the company wants a lot of privacy for itself.
