The calligraphy is the important part - Input Junkie
The calligraphy is the important part|Nobel Peace Prize officials were facing a formal inquiry over accusations they have drifted away from the prize’s original selection criteria by choosing such winners as President Barack Obama, as the nomination deadline for the 2012 awards closed Wednesday.
I think I would have viewed is as just another "interesting world we live in" piece, with a side order of "yeah, the peace prize isn't reliably about peace, nice someone noticed in a way which might make a difference", except that the calligraphy is good enough to be worth sharing.

The leading 't's in 'testamente tidelt' look kind of awkward.
The 't's themselves look good to me, but the initial 'te' is a little high, and the 's' following it might be low.
Giving is a close look, there's too much space after the 'har' in the second line, and there's enough wavering in the lines that I wonder if some semi-freehand method was used, or even if it was written entirely without guidelines.
I appreciate the openness and grace of the whole piece. What do you think of the overall effect?

The 'tes' in 'testamente' is throwing me, I can't really appreciate the rest of it. I have the same problem appreciating live music.
Ahahaha oh dear. I've been focusing on fonts lately, so that xkcd hits particularly close to home.

I KNOW RIGHT
te (and ti) are high ligatures in whatever hand this is; look at the end of Nobelkomite in the first line. Something done that regularly must be intentional.

The 's' in 'Norske' drops below the line, but look at the 'sstemm' in the middle of 'overensstemmende'! The whole thing wiggles, and the 't' is lowest of all.
for me the Peace Prize broke when they gave it to Kissinger. That is nice calligraphy, though.
