Human-computer overlap

Sorry no cite, but I saw a quote somewhere that masters come to resemble their slaves because masters need to be able to communicate with slaves.

Here's a rather giddy essay about humans being influenced by computers, and I'm using it as an excuse to share some links.

There's a slew of links about the real-world use of pixels and voxels for the fun of it. I'm a bit shocked that it's taken so long for there to be much of that.

I think this is unspeakably cool. I bet that if there was a small version (suitable for living rooms), people would buy it.

Then the essay spreads out a bit-- I can't honestly say that this would work as camouflage, but I want to see the Halloween costumes, and the horror movie. It's like a cheerful version of Leiber's "Smoke Ghost".

The essay says that some spam sounds like the computers are trying to communicate back-- for example: “sorry, I’m telling you, things are getting out of hand, or maybe I’m discovering that things were never in my hands. Help me. I find sites on this topic, replica firearms for sale. I found only this– replica Rolex for sale. Replica, Rome is the court to many being areas. Replica, twelve wrote environment years along the college change principle exploration. Waiting for reply. Sad face, Jerusha from Senegal.”

There's a comment at the bottom which are almost certainly spam, but damned if they don't sound like a human effort to imitate the computer trying to communicate.... or maybe they really are the computers talking to us.

"It is appropriate time to make a few plans for the longer term and it is time to be happy. I have learn this submit and if I could I wish to suggest you some fascinating issues or advice. Maybe you can write subsequent articles relating to this article. I want to learn even more things about it!"
